VOLUNTEER ASSIGNMENTS
Congratulations and thank you for volunteering for the 11th annual Colorado Relay! We couldn't pull off this race without you -- and we can’t wait to see you on the race course!
VOLUNTEER ASSIGNMENTS...
- Assignments are available in the VOLUNTEER ASSIGNMENT DATABASE.
- Review the Volunteer Assignment Database (3 pages)
- Choose an Assignment listed as "Open" in the Volunteer Name Column. FYI, there are 350 possible assignments (approximately 3 pages of options).
- When you find an "Open" listing, that you (or your volunteer can complete) click the name of the Assignment. An email window opens. Complete the information including: Team Name, Volunteer Name, email, phone, gender and T-shirt size.
- (NOTE: if your browser doesn't open an email window, just send us an email with the above information -- remember the Assignment Name -- to volunteer@coloradorelay.com
- The Volunteer Coordinator will update the database and confirm your assignment with you.
- Volunteer Assignments listed as "Exchange Chief" are for the full duration of the exchange being open. These assignments count for 2 (two) Official Volunteers for teams. This position will help set up the exchange point with the Volunteer Coordinator, will brief the other other volunteers, manage breaks, ensure the Exchange Point remains safe and open through all the teams passing through and will help break it down at the end. To be an Exchange Chief you must have previous Colorado Relay Volunteer experience, be available for the entire shift (even if it runs long), have transportation to the exchange point and be at least 21 years old.
- Volunteers MUST check their final assignments just prior to the Race to confirm that the times have not been changed.
- FYI, teams starting times and average speed (based on their reported 10K times) will affect the length of Volunteer assignments as well as their starting times.
